What’s in your supplements?

Methylcellulose? Do you even know what that is? I didn’t. Until I looked it up. It’s wood.
WHY IS THERE WOOD PULP IN YOUR VITAMINS?

Just like everything else you put into your body, the quality of your supplements matters. Are the ingredients in poor quality supplements causing joint inflammation? Or maybe they’re upsetting your stomach. In either case, the negatives definitely outweigh any good the supplements may be doing.

In the office we only carry practitioner grade supplements. No weird ingredients. Just high quality products made with the best ingredients possible.

Seeking Health, one of our favorite brands, is formulated by a physician. Dr Ben Lynch is a leader in the industry when it comes to Methylation and Nutrigenomics. The ingredients are all independently verified for quality and potency. Yes, they may be a little spendier than the ones on the shelf at the drug store. But when you take quality supplements, you don’t need to take as much, and sometimes you don’t have to take them for as long.

The second thing to consider with your supplements is the form of the individual vitamins or minerals. Certain types are more bioavailable and readily absorbed than others. For example, your B Vitamins should all be methylated. It’s the one time meth is a good thing ;)

If you want us to take a look at your current vitamins, or recommend a brand, reach out! We are always happy to help you on your wellness journey.
