You have an incredible, self contained system of systems that is constantly healing 24/7! When you utilize Chiropractic care whether it's for an acute (my headache is rampaging right now) basis or you’re dealing with chronic pain or you just want to support your body to be the healthiest version possible, Chiropractic plays the same role.
The adjustment amplifies the healing potential already within you. It quietens the noise within to allow your body to heal, thrive and adapt in a more connected way. It’s really easy to want to give credit to the adjustment, the chiropractor, or the doctor/body worker/healer/naturopath for healing you. However, no matter the modality you choose to support your body, it’s always your body doing the healing! I don’t know about you but knowing and understanding that all I need is already there to heal and thrive is so empowering! An expression we like to toss around in the office is "you aren't the first person to do this."
We often get in our own heads and psych ourselves out when attempting difficult challenges. Yes, labor is new and different and there are a lot of unknowns... But, women have been giving birth in fields and huts and who even knows where since the beginning of time. Others have done it and so can you! Yes- there is always room for education and planning and getting yourself set up to succeed. But t what point does that become fixation or dwelling on the negative? Try these tips if you find yourself ruminating on negative thoughts or fixated on bad outcomes:
In health and wellness, Aimee When we recycle we are processing used materials or waste into new products to prevent from wasting resources. The one area that this is not useful is in recycling negative thoughts. When we are recycling, we are processing something that no longer has use into something we can use again. Therefore, we are recycling negative thoughts back into our thought process to re-use.
Your thoughts are a catalyst for self-perpetuating cycles. What you think directly influences how you feel and how you behave. So if you think you're a failure, you'll feel like a failure. Then, you'll act like a failure, which reinforces your belief that you must be a failure. It is not easy to simply stop negative thinking. Especially when the experience painfully affected us or we are going through something. To stop the recycling process we have to actually sit with these negative thoughts and allow them to reveal the message they are attempting to bring forth. Then we can fully consume the product and there is absolutely nothing left to recycle. Meaning, we have actually dealt with the thought, learned from it, and then made total peace with it. Once we do, negative thoughts no longer have any power over us and we can return to a state of Joy with more knowledge of self. As we begin to take control of our minds, we create a stability upon which we are able to tap into a reserve of POWER. This helps us still our minds so that we can sit and contemplate the negative thoughts that are cycling through our minds so that we can deal with them. We are then able to stop the pain, and let go of the recycling process because we have chosen to face the thoughts rather than unconsciously continue to recycle them over and over for future consumption that hinders our desired experiences.
