I started seeing a Chiropractor when I was six years old. My parents valued taking care of the body before symptoms showed up and Chiropractic fit into part of how we took care of ourselves.
Growing up I was super active. Playing basketball and tennis at a high level, I pushed my body to perform. It wasn’t until I was about 16 that I saw the value of having a Chiropractor on my team to allow me to do everything I asked of my body. I was having wrist pain ‘for no reason’ and wasn’t able to hold my tennis racquet. At this point I was traveling interstate and internationally for tournaments, so it was kind of important to me ;) I saw my physical therapist who eventually referred me to a sports doctor. After a cursory consultation he diagnosed me with a bone too shallow for a wrist tendon that was causing inflammation and I would need an operation. Ugh. No thanks. It just so happened that our regularly scheduled Chiropractic appointment was around this time. I mentioned my issue and after my spinal check, she also checked my shoulder, elbow and wrist and adjusted as necessary. The difference was almost instantaneous. And within a couple of adjustments in a week or so, I was pain free… forever. Never before have I had that same wrist pain. I continued to play tennis and eventually ended up at The University of Montana playing all four years as an undergrad. All this didn’t lead me to become a Chiropractor but it was a memory that sowed the seed of where I am today. I actually didn’t see a Chiro the whole time I was a student athlete. It wasn’t until I was at a loss at what I was going to do after college that I considered Chiropractic school after seeing an advertisement for a college in the student newspaper. And so they say… the rest is history :) I started the practice in 2014 and it's been a roller coaster of a ride. I've learned a lot about Chiropractic, about running and managing a business, as well as a LOT about myself. But at the end of the day witnessing the positive health changes of our clients that occur daily make it all worth it. The mIssion of Primal Practice Chiropractic is ‘Forging Happier Healthier Humans’. This is so important to us because we see firsthand the positive impact that our clients have not only with their families but the community as a whole. As our practice members embody health in all aspects their joy, connection and wellbeing skyrocket and everyone benefits from this! Peace, Love, and Wellness, Dr. Liz
